Flanged Needle Valves

PRECISION INSTRUMENTATION

Product Overview

Our Flanged Needle Valves combine the same fine flow control and reliable shutoff found across our needle valve range with a flanged end connection designed for secure, bolted installation on larger or higher-pressure process lines. Where round and square body valves typically serve compact instrumentation panels, the flanged variant is built for direct inline installation on process piping where a robust, serviceable connection matters.

Every valve is machined to precise tolerances, fitted with our standard tapered needle-and-seat mechanism, and individually pressure-tested before dispatch the same quality discipline we apply across the entire needle valve family.

MECHANISM & CONTROL

Working Principle

From the inside, the flanged needle valve works the same way as our other versions; that is, the needle stem is pushed into the seat via rotation of the handwheel, narrowing the passage to create a tight shut-off and withdrawing it to reopen the flow when the process is reversed. The only difference is in the way the valve is joined to the pipeline. Flanged ends are bolted directly to matching pipeline flanges with a gasket seal in between, which distributes mechanical stress evenly around the connection and holds up better under the higher pressures and larger bore sizes where threaded connections would be a weak point.

This bolted connection also makes maintenance more straightforward a flanged valve can be removed and reinstalled for servicing without disturbing the surrounding pipework the way a welded or heavily threaded connection might.

TARGET APPLICATIONS

Applications

Direct inline installation on larger process piping
Higher-pressure isolation and flow control points
Installations requiring bolted, serviceable connections for easier maintenance
Process isolation across oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, and fertilizer plant piping
Applications where threaded or compression fittings aren't suitable for the line size or pressure class
MANUFACTURING DISCIPLINE

Why Choose Our Flanged Needle Valves

A flanged connection is only as reliable as the flange face finish and bolting tolerance behind it get either wrong, and you're looking at a gasket leak under pressure. We manufacture our flanged needle valves with the same tight tolerance control we apply across our whole range, so the connection performs the way your piping specification expects, without field rework to make bolt patterns or face finishes align.

If your project involves a specific flange standard or rating, that's worth confirming with our engineering team early matching flange specifications correctly the first time avoids costly delays during installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

1 When should I choose a flanged needle valve over round or square body?

Flanged valves are typically specified for larger line sizes, higher pressure ratings, or installations requiring a bolted, serviceable connection rather than compact panel mounting.

2 Does the flanged connection affect flow control performance?
3 Can flanged needle valves be serviced without disturbing surrounding pipework?
4 What flange standards do you manufacture to?
5 Is every flanged needle valve pressure-tested before dispatch?
